Animals Know Before the Earthquake Hits; What about Bats?

Bats often live in barns, caves and over hangs and use special sensors to navigate in flight. They are truly a marvel in organic engineering and you should be impressed. But how well can they detect precursory Earthquake waves like other animals? This question is of interest and it was recently brought up in an online think tank when one member asked;

"Also, bats with their built in radar might find even the slightest movement to be disconcerting and might leave for quieter grounds."

Indeed bats live in caves and use sonar and are probably one of the most in-tuned creatures to Earth frequency waves of any type. That would make sense too, and this has probably been observed as well by mankind watching Bat behavior and then noticing Earthquakes coming after a massive exodus of bats from an underground cave?

"Mammals are certainly going to react, but maybe there is a chain of reaction from ground level on up."

Well sure this is a possibility too because if mammals see insect behavior they may react to that as well and then feel the precursory rumblings that are much closer to the event and perhaps larger Earth waves, sound, light, ELF and etc.? All good points indeed, but what do you think? Have you an opinion on this subject do you think our highly evolved Bat friends indeed can detect and know in advance of when an Earthquake might strike? Consider all this in 2006.
